The clear gel is used topically in treating acne, wounds or burns and for treating genital herpes and psoriasis.
Air purifying plant of formaldehyde and benzene.
Houseplant.
The yellow latex can be used as a laxative to alleviate constipation but caution must be taken as taking too much and/or too often could be toxic.
Do not use if you have Crohn’s disease, colitis, or haemorrhoids.
It can cause severe abdominal cramps and diarrhoea.
May have adverse interactions with prescription drugs, such as those used to treat blood clots, diabetes and heart disease, and drugs that are potassium-lowering agents (such as digoxin) and diuretics.
